RBCT is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Manager to plan, lead, organise and manage an effective occupational health service to promote the health and wellbeing of all employees and their immediate families.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and administer policies and procedures of the Occupational Health Centre;
- Manage clinic resources to meet the RBCT’s Occupational Health objectives;
- Budget formulation and control;
- Primary health care;
- Provide care and wellness to employees that leads to the promotion, protection and restoration of the employee’s occupational health and hygiene within a safe working environment;
- Comply with legal requirements and RBCT policies and procedures;
- Emergency preparedness and business continuity management;
- Administrative duties;
- Projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements
B Tech in Occupational Health Nursing; Degree in Nursing Administration or equivalent will be advantageous; Certificate in Audiometry (update), spirometry, dispensary licence; 5 years management experience in an Occupational Health environment; Management Development Program (MDP); ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System; SAMTRAC & SHE Auditing (advantageous); working knowledge of procedures followed when dealing with the Compensation Commissioner; Registration with South African Nursing Council.
Skills
Code EB driver’s license; Basic Ambulance course; dispensing course; ability to stablish rapport at all levels within the organisation; strong IT skills (MS Office and SAP); sound knowledge of relevant legislation.
