Superior Safety Standards
Safety is paramount at RBCT and upheld through Basic Safety Rules as well as, 11 Fatal Risks Control Protocols (“FRCPs”), which aim to keep employees, contractors and visitors safe.
RBCT’s goal is to achieve Zero Harm through the effective implementation and management of high safety standards within its operation. Visible Felt Leadership, High Potential Hazards, Behavioural Based Safety, Near Miss Reporting and SLLAM (Stop, Look, Listen, Assess and Manage) are some of the leading indicators that employees as well as contractors use for proactive risk identification.
The continuous commitment to protecting the environment and natural resources remains RBCT’s area of focus. The environmental impacts of our operations are continuously assessed and management plans put in place to mitigate any potential environmental impacts. RBCT strives to comply beyond our Water Use License (“WUL”), General Discharge Authorization (DA”), Waste Norms and Standards, Air Emission License (“AEL”) and Scheduled Trade Permit.
The health and well-being of the RBCT workforce remains important to us, hence, ensuring a working environment that maximizes wellness and minimizes occupational health incidents, illnesses as well as health ailments is a priority. RBCT’s approach to managing occupational health-related matters in the workplace is addressed through Health Risk Assessments and associated Occupational Risk Exposure, the Employee Wellness Programme and Primary Health Care. Essentially, Occupational Health and Hygiene Surveys, Occupational Health audits and inspections, as well as periodical medicals are fundamental to the Occupational Health monitoring programme.
